Hood Hinges Not the Best
There were enough complaints about the hood hinges to include it in this review. Some people reported that the hinges were either loose, stripped or weak. Still most of those same customers gave this grill a good review. Here is one of the comments about the hinges, “Yes, the hinges on the grill cover are somewhat weak. If you don’t fling the cover open you should be fine, but I could see the cover slipping out of a person’s hand while opening and then banging to the open position. That would definitely fatigue the hinges. Not a deal breaker though.”
2 Separate Charcoal Baskets
People liked that there were separate sections that could have two different temperatures. Here is one of the comments on the separate grill areas, “Love the 2 separate grills so I can adjust temperature. It’s hard to find a good charcoal grill – everybody wants to use gas…Real chefs use charcoal.”
Easy to Assemble
For being such a large grill one might think that it would be hard to assemble. But the opposite is the case. Here is one of the ease of assembly comments, “Extremely clear directions. It took about an hour to put it together all by myself (except for 30 seconds when my wife helped to lift the firebox onto the base (as the directions instructed).”
Easy to Reach High Temperatures
A grill isn’t a good grill without being able to reach high temperatures. The Dyna-Glo Charcoal Grill scored well with customers in the ability to reach high cooking temperatures. Here is what one customer had to stay about it’s heating ability, “This is an excellent grill with a lot of cooking space. The double liner in the cover really works great to keep the heat inside. With charcoal at full blast and lid closed the temperature gets to 600 degrees quick. Even mid-way thru grilling a dozen of chicken quarters the temperature still goes above 400 degrees easily.”

Dyna-Glo Charcoal Grill Conclusion

This means that you can have two different temperatures going on in the same grill. This grill is easy to assemble. The most reoccurring complaint was that the hood hinges would bend, get loose and become stripped easily. Other than that, the Dyna-Glo Charcoal Grill seems like a high quality and durable grill.
