6 Super Fun Activities to Do with Your Kids in the Fall
School has started, but that doesn’t mean the the fun is over. There are still plenty of fun activities to do with your kids in the fall. Don’t let the cooler weather slow you down, there’s still a lot of fun to be had. Here are some great ideas if you find yourself trying to think of a great activity. Your kids will love doing each of these with you this fall.
Play with Acorns
Oak trees have tons of acorns that fall all over the ground. These little nuts can provide a ton of fun activities. Your kids can paint them and use them to create some jewelry, create little people with hats, or use them in a fairy garden. Let them be creative and use their imaginations. Acorns are easy to collect and can give you hours of fun craft time.
Carve a Pumpkin
A classic and fun Fall activity. Create pumpkins with silly faces and have a competition to see whose is the most creative. Use markers, pipe cleaners, and googly eyes if you don’t feel comfortable letting your children carve. Make a theme that everyone has to follow or just let them create whatever comes to their mind. You’re bound to have a good time.
Play in Leaves
Chances are you know a perfect spot to play in the leaves. Whether it’s your front yard, or Grandma’s house. Let your kids jump in a pile of leaves and have a blast. It’s adult nature to want to get a job done as quickly as possible and raking leaves is no different. Try to relax and let your kids have some fun before you clean all the leaves up. The leaves only fall once a year, let them enjoy it.

Make a Bird Feeder
Create a quick and simple bird feeder so your kids can bird watch. Grab a cardboard toilet paper roll, roll it in peanut butter, then stick bird seed to it. Your kids will love creating these fun and easy crafts. They’ll also love how much the birds love it. It’ll be fun to look out the window and have your kids see all the birds enjoying what they made.
Make Leaf Crafts
There are tons of leaf craft ideas all over the place! Paint the leaves and use them as a stamp on a piece of paper, or laminate the leaves to create a unique bookmark, or arrange the leaves into a beautiful crown. Try to get as many different colors of leaves as you can so you can have a beautiful variety of colors in your craft.
Go on a Scavenger Hunt
Make a list of everything you might find outside in the fall. Then go on a walk and try to find everything on your list. Bring a bag with you and collect what you find. It could be a red leaf, an acorn, an apple, a pumpkin, or anything else! It’ll get everyone outside for some fresh air while you look for the things on your list.
