Item Specifics

The Suncast 15.5-Gallon Capacity Poly Rolling Lawn Cart has a 15 1/2 gallon capacity.  It is lightweight and very durable.  It has 7 inch wheels with a metal axle.  This product is great for storing and transporting mulch, dirt and other outdoor items.  It has a telescoping handle that makes it easy to pull.

Great Size for Shorter People and Children

A lot of customers who were shorter said that this cart was a great height for them.  They also said that young children could easily use it.  Here is what one customer said, “I put it together myself first thing. It is MUCH Easier to use than any of my wheelbarrows over the years. Holds quite a bit and believe it or not my 3 yr old can use it also. He cannot use a normal size wheelbarrow of course but to my utter surprise he grabbed this, turned it around so he was pushing instead of pulling & took off…I LOVE THIS tool. ABSOLUTELY thrilled and so is my great grandson.”

May Not Work Well with Heavy Loads

Some customers thought that this cart may be cheaply made, so you will need to be careful when loading the cart.  One customer shares her thoughts, “I don’t think the wheels on this are made to support really heavy loads but care and common sense will guide you.  Just don’t abuse it or expect more than it was made to do and it should be fine.  We have a wheelbarrow for the heavy jobs.”

Good Price

Most customers thought that the price was great for what you got.  They said that the price was way more expensive at their local hardware stores.  Here is one of the many positive comments, “For the price, this can’t be beat. If you garden and don’t already have one, you’ll definitely want this. Its great for hauling soil, mixing soil, carrying heavy tools, etc. I’m a rather small woman doing all the gardening myself, so this cart is my lifesaver! I don’t know how I got along without it for so long! Your back will thank you! The quality won’t be beat!! I’ve used mine regularly since I got it a month ago and it still practically looks new.”

Can Be Used for Many Different Purposes

Although this cart is smaller compared to other wheelbarrows, it is great for carrying a variety of items.  Customers used this cart for many purposes, such as carrying groceries, firewood, and garden supplies.  Others found that this cart is great for storing toys in, and doing laundry.  Do note that you may need to make a couple of trips, depending on what you’re carrying.  But this cart is great for hauling a variety of items.  One customer had this to say, “I’d give this handy little cart 100 stars for carrying almost everything: groceries amazing how many bags you can get in the cart, wood for wood burning stoves, outside gardening–it washes clean in a minute or you can just wipe it out in a jiffy. Goes up and down stairs and across the lip of the door entry very easily. I wouldn’t be without it, it’s light, rugged and wheels are good.”

Cart May Fall Over When It’s Empty

Some customers found that the cart would tip when it was empty.  This means that while you’re loading it, you should lean it against something or put a block behind it.  Here one customer explains, “The cart is very light. Due to its light weight, if the cart is empty, it tends to fall over if it is not on a hard surface. When gardening, the cart would be on the grass, and until it was partially full, it kept falling backwards because that is where the weight of the metal handle is. The tipping could be fixed by just putting something in the cart, like a small rock or a brick, or hanging a small weight on the front.”

Great for Elderly People

A lot of elderly customers said that this cart worked really well.  It was easy for them to pull, and allowed them to pull large items around.  Here is one of the many comments, “Works just as planned. Helps me move heavy objects from one place to another. Senior citizens need to know about this. I can now get potting soil in the 2 cubic yard size. I can order a case of liquid beverage. Those Costco runs, that are so exhausting for those of us over 75? This thing really helps unload at home. Wouldn’t be without it. Not only that, since it is pretty much weather-proof, I can store it in a protected outside area.”

Made of Plastic

Although this cart is durable, it is not as durable as a lawn cart or wheelbarrow.  Almost everything is made from plastic, including the wheels.  Some customers thought that the wheels were too lightweights and hollow to be able to do heavy duty work.  Here is what one customer thought, “The metal arms are hollow lightweight steel, the wheels are hollow lightweight plastic and the bucket plastic is about the thickness of one layer of a cheapo cooler.”

Easy to Clean

The Suncast 15.5-Gallon Capacity Poly Rolling Lawn Cart is very easy to clean according to customers.  There are no crevasses, which makes it very to easy to clean.  Some customers found that simply hosing it off will clean it, while others wiped it clean.  Here is what one customer thought about this product, “Would buy this again in a heartbeat! Easy to clean, just rinse with a garden hose.”

Easy to Assemble

This cart is very easy to assemble.  All you need to do is attach the handle and adjust the handle to the right height.  One customer had this to say, “Well packaged. Comes assembled except for handle that needs to be screwed into cart and adjusted for height. All around terrific way to get items such as groceries and items too big to carry from car to home. Great for laundry. When not using — it’s in my closet, tucked away and out of sight. A real perk for my cats who use it for sleeping and for hiding/playing. Love this rolling poly!”

Some Customers Said the Cart Arrived with Missing Screws

There were a few customers that said when the cart arrived, it was missing some screws and washers.  Most of the customers went to the hardware store to buy more screws instead of returning the cart.  A customer explains, “The screws and washers were just thrown in the (big) box, loose, not enclosed in plastic bags or any thing else. When we tried to assemble it there were two screws and a washer missing, apparently they had fallen out of the holes in the shipping process. Instead of going through the return process, we went to the hardware store and replaced the missing screws. The cart will suit our needs fine, seems fairly sturdy, but not for heavy duty use like cement blocks or even lots of bricks.”
