The Prosperly Garden Water Hose Reel Cart is made to hold up to 300 Feet Of 5/8” Water Hose.  It features solid steel axles and air inflation wheels.  A padded handle makes this reel cart more comfortable for pushing.  The body is powder-coated.  The wheels were added to make transport smooth and easy when pushing it around your yard.  Assembly is required. 

Can Be Transported

The other hose reels that I reviewed were either the kind that mounted or the kind that didn’t mount.  A common problem with the ones that weren’t made to be mounted onto a building, was that they were awkward and heavy to move from place to place.  The problem with the mountable kinds were that they were limited in where they could be used since they were mounted in one area.

The nice thing about the Prosperly Garden Water Hose Reel Cart is that it is built to be sturdy and also able to be transported.  The wheels will allow the user to take it from the garden to another area. This is nice if you want to use this hose for multiple purposes like watering your garden in the back of your house and then washing your vehicle in the front of your house.

Retracting the Hose

The nice thing about this design is that the wheels are going to be perpendicular to the way the hose will be winding and unwinding.  The wheels should not be able to move when retracting the hose, which means this cart shouldn’t be able to be moved either.  A problem with some of the lightweight plastic hose reels was that they were so lightweight, that the user had to sit on it to keep it from moving when retracting.  Granted, this reel does not have any feedback yet, but I don’t see how it could move because of the directions the wheels are facing and because of the heavy duty steel material that it is made from.

Handle

The shape, size and steel nature of this handle should make retracting the hose in very easy.  The longer the handle, the less work you will have to do when turning it.  This handle is also padded, which should make it a very comfortable solid gripping place to hold on to when turning.

Steel Axle

The fact that the axle is made of steel is a great asset to this garden hose reel.  That means that the axle should not bend nor break under weight nor pressure.  There was a mostly plastic hose reel that I reviewed, that seemed very nice, except comments were coming about how the axle would bend when too much hose weight was on the reel.  You should not run into that issue since this axle is made of steel.

It is too bad that the Prosperly Garden Water Hose Reel Cart doesn’t have any customer reviews yet.  I do believe when the reviews start coming in, that this hose reel will score well with customers.  The reason I say that is because it has a steel axle and it is made to carry a lot of hose.  It’s advertised at being able to hold 300 feet of 5/8 inch hose.  The photo along with dimensions listed show that is is a large hose reel.  Out of the 10 hose reels that I have reviewed, if I were purchasing a hose reel for my farm, this would be my choice.  I like that it is sturdy looking and easy to transport.  Not everyone, including me would want a hose reel that was mounted in just one area.  If you are looking for a sturdy hose reel cart that can be easily moved, I recommend the Prosperly Garden Water Hose Reel Cart.
