Extender Bar and Lightness Makes this Easy for Many People to Use

If you are older, disabled or maybe just don’t like heights, this ladder should help to give you the confidence to get the job done.  There is a red extended top bar that will give you something extra to hold on to.  And at only 12 1/2 pounds this is a very lightweight ladder.  A customer shared this, “I ordered this three-step ladder because I have a vestibular disorder, which can make balance very challenging at times for me, I wanted a step ladder that would allow me to have something to hold onto as a balance reference point as I climbed and stood on the ladder, and I was so thrilled when the ladder came and the first thing I did was safely replace a light bulb on the ceiling above my washer/dryer!  The ladder is lightweight to carry (I have back problems), and extremely easy to fold by raising the pulling the red handle built into the top step. The top of the red bar is also neat because it has a small hollowed out area that you could put nails, screws, and small tools in while you are working.  You can hold onto the red extended top bar on the first and second steps for more stability, which really is as high as I need for the ladder type things I do around the home. I was on the top step to replace the light bulb, and when on the top step, the red bar falls for me (5’5″) at about halfway between my hip and knee, so I can rest my leg up against it to get the balance touch point to know where my body is to be able to balance. I feel very much safer now, and less of a fall risk.”

Rubber Not on Top Platform

There were complaints of the photo not being accurate.  The product image seems to show that there is black rubber on the top step, when in fact, customers reported receiving a ladder with no rubber on the top platform.   A woman customer had this to share, “First of all, I do like this stepladder but I have a couple of comments to make. One problem I see is that, according to the photos of the stepladder I bought, the step platform appears to be made out of, or at least be covered with, black rubber or hard plastic but the stepladder I received has a metal platform like the rest of the other steps. I think the rubber on the platform would be safer and more comfortable to stand on. Also, I am a short, slim older woman with back problems and while I can presently handle the weight of the ladder it is not as light as I thought it would be based on some of the other reviews of this stepladder. Other than that the ladder appears to be well built and I hope it will stand the test of time, so I am glad I purchased it.  I have one recommendation for Amazon.com, please change the current photo of the stepladder to a photo of the stepladder with a metal platform like the rest of the other steps, buyers deserve to know exactly what to expect when they buy this stepladder. Thank you!”

Compact Storage

A selling point to many for this ladder is that it stores without taking up much space.  This is especially good if you live in an apartment or don’t have a lot of room to store a bulky ladder.  A customer explained it this way, “We have nine and ten-foot ceilings in our house, and I needed a sturdy, stable, compact, yet lightweight ladder, to reach the top shelves in closets and kitchen cabinets. My husband wanted a stable, easy-to-set-up step ladder to change batteries in smoke alarms, light bulbs in ceiling lights and air filters around the house. I’m 5’4″ and he’s 6′ tall–and the 6-foot ladder is perfect for both of us. It opens and closes easily, sets up securely and is lightweight enough for me to move around the house with no difficulty. We were able to hang it out-of-sight in the laundry room where it’s still very easily and quickly accessible. We both are completely satisfied with this ladder!”

Sharp Edge on Top Platform

The top platform may irritate your knees when standing on the rungs.  No ladder may be perfect, but it would have been nice if some padding was added to the top platform edge.  A customer explains, “How can you love a ladder? – This one is amazing, its stable, light, easy to set up, you feel stable standing on the top platform – the ONLY complaint is that if you stand on any of the lower rungs, your shin/knee is resting against a very sharp edge of the top platform causing considerable pain. The designer should have created a Rounded front edge to the platform to make it comfortable.  I actually attached a piece of foam insulation tubing commonly used to insulate copper tuning, and it now is painless.”

Sturdy

The Flip-N-Lite 300-Pound Duty Rating 6-foot Stepladder was designed to be extra sturdy.  Customers backed up the fact that it is indeed a very sturdy ladder.  A “FANTASTIC PRODUCT ! I am a big guy, 6’3″ and about 280#; standard household step-ladders are too narrow and too flimsy. I am always afraid they will collapse under me. This Little Giant is wide enough for comfort and stability, has a nice, high safety rail and is solidly built. The top rail has a convenient small parts tray. the extra wide top step is very comfortable. As an added bonus, it closes very easily and is small and easy to store. I LOVE IT !”

Good Price

The price point is good for this ladder.  The majority of customers were very satisfied with the price.  Here is what one customer shared, “Perfect. At only 12 lbs, this ladder has replaced an old wooden one I’ve had for years.  I’m 74 yo and this is so easy to open, close and move around.  Very balanced and stable and I love the security of the top holding rail.  The price was is excellent, especially with my added discount from the Amazon store 5% on other purchases. And didn’t have to figure out how to get it here had I bought locally.  So all in all, I highly recommend this ladder.”
