Customers liked that this fire pit is ready to be used out of the box.  Here is what one customer had to say, ” There was zero assembly required, and even though it’s light and compact, it’s pretty sturdy. It’s been a lot of fun to use. and I look forward to the next time we “fire it up!”

Item Specifics

The Fire Sense Folding Fire Pit is basically a heat resistant painted steel bowl with a fire screen.  Included is a log grate, cooking grate and fire tool.  No tools are needed for assembly.  It folds easily for portability.  A carry bag is included.

Legs Are Flimsy

The legs of the Fire Sense Folding Fire Pit are not made durable.  The cheapness of the legs was the most reoccurring complaint that I came across when looking at customer feedback.  Keep in mind that this is a low priced fireplace.  One customer explained it this way when describing the legs, “the legs bend ridiculously easy and offer no resistance if you don’t pull the pin completely – which means you may think you’re unfolding the legs but you’re actually bending the super thin sheet metal holding them to the bowl.”

Price

One of the biggest selling points for the Fire Sense Folding Fire Pit is that it is inexpensive.  The majority of people who commented on the price, said that the quality was good considering the price.

Good for RV Use

A lot of recreational vehicle campers liked this fire pit because of the compact nature.  A customer explains, “This fire pit is a great price for casual use. I have used it while camping in an RV, making smores in our yard, and gathered around with friends on a chilly night. It is the perfect size for 5-6 people to keep warm and folds up easily into its nylon bag.”

Log Grate Included

People liked that this fire pit came with a grate.  Not all fire pits come with a grate so this is an added bonus.  However, there is nothing fancy nor high quality about this grate.  A customer explains, “Can’t beat it! Comes with a bbq grate, wood grate, screen dome cover with a tool to lift it so you don’t burn your hands, and a carry bag.”

The Fire Sense Folding Fire Pit is an inexpensive fire pit that is especially good for RVers and people who want a lightweight and portable fire pit.  It comes already assembled and even includes a log grate.  The legs are flimsy and wobbly, but most of the customers excused this flaw because it was so inexpensive.  If you are not wanting to pay a lot for a small and portable fire pit, than you might want to consider the Fire Sense Folding Fire Pit.

Common Questions

Here are some top questions that I found for people considering buying a Fire Sense Folding Fire Pit.

  • chevron-circle-right Is the screen cover 29 inches in diameter only or is 29 inches the whole fire pit?    The tops Base (rim) has a diameter approximately 23 inches and sits just inside the apex of the lip of the bowl of the fire pit.  The rest of the lip on both sides should be 3 inches.  The usable space of the pit is within the 23 inches.
  • chevron-circle-right Another purchaser stated that the manual says not to use charcoal.  Can you tell me why?  Charcoal burns to hot the fire pit is made to have wood burn in it.
  • chevron-circle-right What are the measurements when folded inside the bag? I would need to carry this in the RV. When folded this fire pit is 29 inches wide and approximately 12 inches high.  It stores nicely.
