The Benefits of Having Artificial Turf Instead of Grass

Everyone prides themselves on green, lush lawns. It looks and feels great when your grass is soft and cushy. The only problem with having a great lawn is that it’s really hard to achieve. You need to fertilize, aerate, weed, and mow in order to keep your grass looking nice. Sometimes there are inexplicable brown spots that need to be dug up and redone. A lot of people spend hours on their lawns trying to make it look perfect. There’s edging, clipping, and watering that can’t be overlooked either. If you’re tired of having to put so much time, effort, and money into your lawn it’s time to consider artificial turf instead of grass. There are many benefits of having artificial turf instead of grass, and here are just a few.

Save Time

Green grass takes an enormous amount of time to achieve. You’ll definitely have to spend time on it every day in order to keep it looking nice. You’ll have to be 100% dedicated to your lawn and make sure it gets watered even if you’re out of town so that all your hard work doesn’t go down the drain. You don’t need to worry about that with artificial turf. Your lawn will be green all year long without all the time and effort it takes to achieve it. You’ll be able to spend more time with your family instead of with your grass.

Save Money

You’ll have to spend some money to install the artificial turf in your yard, but then the expenses stop there. There’s no extra money needed to keep your lawn looking nice. Save money by not buying a lawn mower, edger, fertilizer, sod, or grass seeds. Artificial turf needs none of this. If dirt, leaves, or other debris gets on your artificial turf, simply sweep it off when a broom.

Save Water

This is probably the biggest benefit of having an artificial turf lawn. Grass lawns need so much water to keep them looking green. Especially when the weather gets really hot. Some lawns get watered in the morning and the night. Turf is even more practical if you live in an area that doesn’t have an abundance of water or has water restrictions. You won’t have to worry about setting the timer on your sprinklers any more!

Cost Effective Option

Artificial turf lasts a long time, but if you’re wanting to replace your lawn with newer turf you can recycle your old turf. That’s the great thing about artificial turf, you’ll pay once for it but you can keep using it in different places so you get the most out of it as you can. Put your old turf in dog runs or create garden paths with artificial turf so you don’t have to worry about weeds. You can even put turf in a mud or playroom! This makes for easy clean up and it looks really cool!

Summing Up

There are a lot of benefits of having artificial turf instead of grass. Save some water, time and money all while getting the biggest bang for your buck. Spend more time with your family instead of worrying about your lawn! If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the amount of money and work it takes to keep your grass looking nice, it’s time to seriously consider using artificial turf.
