Garant’s listing for NSP24D, SKU 80973, specifies a 24-inch one-piece stamped steel blade, steel reinforcement, hardwood handle and poly D-grip. The current technical panel lists a 52-inch total length and 7-pound weight. Verify the model on the item offered, since an older listing may give different figures.
Garant describes the pusher for snow removal from hard surfaces. That description does not approve every finish, seam or paving material. Check the surface owner’s care instructions before using a metal edge.
Where a wide pusher makes sense
Look at the clearing route and the place available to deposit snow. A broad path with an accessible edge offers a different task from steps, a narrow gate or a walkway boxed in by high snowbanks. Measure tight passages before choosing a 24-inch blade.
Pushing also becomes less practical when the route ends at a pile that requires lifting. Consider whether you need a separate smaller shovel for those spots. Buying one wide tool does not necessarily remove the need for another tool with a different purpose.
Weight and effort are real trade-offs
Judge both the empty tool and the snow you expect to move. Wet, compacted snow can make a clearing job demanding even when the blade stays near the ground. Do not assume “pusher” means effortless or that a steel blade makes the tool a safe choice for someone with back problems.

Confirm the exact model, current weight, whether assembly is required, delivery dimensions and return terms with the seller. Do not rely on historical customer counts, a previous price or a promise that every shipment arrives assembled.
Clean and dry the tool before storage, follow manufacturer care guidance, and keep the edge from damaging nearby equipment. Inspect it again before the next season. Choose the NSP24D when a wide steel pusher fits the route and the work; choose another design when narrow access, lifting or tool weight is the deciding factor.
