Then you have decorative stakes which don’t play any music, but they sure do look pretty. Decorative stakes are lawn ornaments that you stick in the ground wherever you want some extra color. There are so many different shapes and sizes so the options are endless. Some are butterflies, some are suns, some are ladybugs, and some are cute little frogs.

Pinwheels

Pinwheels are fun lawn ornaments because they catch your eye. They have tons of colors and they spin when the wind hits them. Then you have an awesome spinning rainbow that will attract people’s eyes as they pass by.

Rain gauges are a little different than other lawn ornaments because they actually have a functional purpose instead of just looking great. A rain gauge will tell you exactly how much precipitation you’ve received! This helps with plant watering because you already know how much rain your plants got, then you can adjust your watering accordingly.

Statues

Little lawn statues are a cute way to give your yard some character. A lot of people like little cherubs or a statue of their favorite animal. There are some really cute puppies, kittens, ducks, or turtles. Lawn statues are a fun way to let people know that you have a fun sense of humor and a fun yard.

Lawn Gnomes

There are several stories about lawn gnomes where the gnomes come to life and do all sorts of mischievous things. What a great way to brighten up people’s day when they look at your yard.

Summing Up

There are so many different kinds of lawn ornaments that it can be hard to choose just one. The good news is that you don’t have to choose just one. Some people like to choose several different lawn ornaments to decorate their yard with. Just don’t go crazy and overload your yard with little toys and knick knacks. You still want people to be able to see your yard. Have a little fun and add some brightness and happiness to your neighbors and the people around you. Pick some lawn ornaments to add to your yard and you’ll see plenty of smiles.
