Good Price
For what you get, The BLACK+DECKER LB700 7-Amp Corded Blower is priced well. A customer commented, "I didn't expect such a powerful blower at this price. I have a large front and back yard and needed a blower that was powerful but lightweight (arthritis) and this delivered beyond my expectations. Great product and great price."
Powerful
The leaf blower is powerful for a corded leaf blower. It's not going to be as powerful as most of the gas-powered leaf blowers but for an electric blower, it is powerful. A customer shared, "I started out wanting a Green Works cordless blower because I already had a Green Works mower and could interchange the batteries, but could not find one powerful enough at a reasonable price. I finally gave up and selected This Black and Decker. I have many other Black and Decker appliances and like them all except for their requirement for a cord. The LB700 model is light, but still powerful enough to blast stuck-on leaves from the driveway and is relatively quiet. It works for me."
Lightweight
The BLACK+DECKER LB700 7-Amp Corded Blower only weighs 4.4 pounds. This is lightweight for a leaf blower. A customer commented, "You never really know how much easier a job can be until you make a change. I really wanted something lighter and smaller, and this fit the bill perfectly. This blows stronger than my gas powered blower. It's light and very easy to handle. I would use this for any job where I would use a corded blower. When I have to blow in a larger than a 100' area, I use my gas blower."
Another customer commented this about the weight, "You never really know how much easier a job can be until you make a change. I really wanted something lighter and smaller, and this fit the bill perfectly. This blows stronger than my gas powered blower. It's light and very easy to handle. I would use this for any job where I would use a corded blower. When I have to blow in a larger than a 100' area, I use my gas blower. The tone it generates is not a high tone, which can be hard on the ears. This is not quiet, I would say, but its the tone that makes all of the difference. It's a lower tone, definitely not shrill. For the money, you can't go wrong."
No Cord Included
Unfortunately, this leaf blower does not come with a cord. That means that you will not be able to use it right out of the box. So be aware that you will need to purchase an extension cord before you can use it. A customer shared, "I will admit I was shocked it didn't come with a power cord, but once I understood that you plug in however long of an extension cord you need into it I was off to work. Man oh man did this work! I was able to clean my driveway, backyard, side yard, street parking spot and walkways with ease. It doesn't weigh a lot but this little guy packs a mean leaf blowing punch! I love it!"
You May Want to Wear Earplugs
As with many leaf blowers, they can be quite loud. This one is no exception. However, it is not as loud as a lot of gas-powered leaf blowers. With an electric leaf blower you shouldn't have to worry about waking neighbors like you would with a gas-powered leaf blower. That means you should be able to use them whenever you want to, unless you have a very close neighbor. A customer shared this about the noise level, "This certainly does the job well. The blower is powerful for work around our yard and another good thing is it's not even heavy. It was easy to carry around and the grip and handle ergonomic enough for ease of use. As with any blower, it gives out a pretty loud noise, earplugs or noise canceling headphones is advisable. Overall, this gets the job done and at a very reasonable price of $30 (at the time of writing) it is certainly worth it."
May Have a Hard Time Fitting Plug into Extension Cord
This leaf blower not only doesn't come with a cord, but you may have a hard time getting a cord to fit and stay put. A customer commented, "It was very affordable and it blows leaves as promised. It gets 4 stars instead of 5 because I did have a bit of an issue fitting any standard extension cable into the hole where the plug sits, I had to trim a bit of the plastic for it to fit, and this is a normal sized plug on our cable so any cable would have to be trimmed just slightly to connect to our unit. However, it works well otherwise and was a nice affordable way to get leaves out of the way, and its light enough for the smaller members of the family to be able to use it comfortably as well. Black and Decker products are pretty reliable in my experience, and this seems to be no different."
Another customer commented about the plug by saying, "The only real negative I have to say about this product is that the plug needs to be watched after as it can unplug fairly easy at times, but maybe weaving the cord through the handle can prevent that for the moment."
Easy to Use
It should not take much time to get this leaf blower out and use it. A customer shared, "I purchased this blower as a lightweight option to blow off my deck. Loved it so much I had my 80-year-old mother try it. Then had to purchase a second one for her. Still early in its use, but love that it is quick to get out and use and so very lightweight. Blower has plenty of power to get leaves off a wooden deck. Very satisfied with the blower and price."
Maintenance Free
The nice thing about electric leaf blowers like this one is that they are practically maintenance free. With gas-powered equipment, you usually have to have it serviced frequently by replacing spark plugs, etc. No need to worry about this with the BLACK+DECKER LB700 7-Amp Corded Blower. A customer commented, "Got this Black & Decker leaf blower due to its size, simplicity, and color. Works great, weight is perfect, zero maintenance and color is great for visibility. Keep up the good work Black & Decker!"
