Really- all this did was convince me to write the review instead of being lazy and not reviewing. The lights work great for our backyard. We have them strung up on an 8’x8′ pergola with them running across (lengthwise) two sides and crisscrossing in the middle. It’s a perfect fit. They seem of very decent quality material/construction. We had been looking at a set from Harbor Freight but these were a better (cheaper) deal for a better product. The cord is well insulated, the sockets cover the top of the bulb creating a “seal” which looks like it will keep them decently weatherproof, and the bulbs don’t feel thin/flimsy. Ours are permanently installed outside and will be exposed to the elements- so we’ll see how they hold up over an Arizona winter. The picture makes the lights look way whiter than they are- they are actually a very warm yellow-ish color. Perfect for backyard type settings.”

Nice Soft Lighting
These string lights may not be bright enough to read by, but that’s part of what makes them perfectly not too bright. A customer explains, “The bulbs are not bright but are exactly what I was wanting, giving off a low lighting for sitting outside after dark. Probably not bright enough to comfortably read by, but good for a card game, socializing or eating. I mounted a second, bright light over the grill for cooking. The ‘Edison’ bulbs have a slight yellow tint to them and the filament is viable, making them very attractive. They don’t get hot (just slightly warm) so they are not a fire concern in my wood shelter or if you were to place them in a tree or shrubbery and the bulb fits tightly in the socket to keep water out if mounted where it may get wet.”
