For a used mower, ask which battery, charger, bag and discharge accessories are included and whether parts have been replaced. Inspect the handle locks, guards, deck and controls. Use a qualified service provider for damage or a safety-control fault.
Check current manufacturer safety notices using the exact model and serial range before purchase or reuse. A brand-wide description cannot establish whether a particular machine is affected.
Assess runtime at your site
There is no reliable universal promise to finish a quarter-acre on one charge. Grass height and density, cutting conditions, battery health and the specific machine all matter. Ask for evidence relevant to the actual mower and allow time for charging or a compatible spare battery if needed.
Automatic power adjustment does not mean a mower can never bog down. Stay within the manual’s cutting and operating limits rather than forcing it through unsuitable conditions.
Storage and maintenance still matter
