Item Specifics

The Pool Blaster Catfish Li Pool & Spa Cleaner is a manual pool vacuum.  It is lightweight and easy to use.  Because it is run manually, no hoses nor cords are needed.  It has a rechargeable battery and has a 45-minute run time on a single charge.  This pool vacuum quickly removes debris, leaves, sand, and algae.  It has a reusable filter bag.  The filter bag is easy to empty, so you don’t need to touch the dirt with your hands.  It compacts the dirt so that you can fit more debris into the filter bag.  You can attach this product to a telescopic pole for extended reach.  The telescopic pole is not included.

No Hoses Needed

One of the best things about the Pool Blaster Catfish Li Pool & Spa Cleaner, is that no hoses are needed.  Here is what one customer had to say about the lack of hoses, “This is so much better than hauling lots of hose to the pool. Smaller than I thought it would be. My pump never did a great job at vacuuming the pool anyway. This is small and pretty effective. Doesn’t stir up a lot of junk on the bottom before sucking it up. The only con seems to be the size of the debris bag but it’s easy enough to dump out and resume vacuuming. Also, the price could be a bit lower.”

Good Battery Life

The battery life got good reviews.  Here is one of them, “A fully charged battery cleans my pool twice before I have to recharge it again.”

Good Price

Most of the customer reports on this pool vacuum were not very positive.  But for the price, it isn’t too bad.  Here is one of the positive comments on price for what you get, “I was amazed at the efficiency of this product.  I kept running my foot along bottom of pool….nothing but the stray pebble that I had missed. I can’t say enough. For the price point…..it is amazing!”

Pool Blaster Catfish Li Pool & Spa Cleaner Conclusion

The Pool Blaster Catfish Li Pool & Spa Cleaner is not a high end pool vacuum, but for the price it isn’t too bad.  You also won’t have to contend with a hose which is nice.  However, don’t expect this little vacuum to do the job of a larger vacuum with a hose.

Common Questions

Here are some top questions that I found for people considering buying the Pool Blaster Catfish Li Pool & Spa Cleaner.

  • chevron-circle-right Can this be used in ponds?  I also have very small koi, so how do you prevent sucking them into the vacuum?  You will need to make sure the whole unit stays submerged in the water.  If you run it out of the water it will lock up.  As for the fish, by instinct they should know to keep away from the device.  But you still need to be careful.  If possible, you should remove the koi from the pond first before vacuuming.
  • chevron-circle-right Is a battery charger included?  Yes, it is included.
  • chevron-circle-right Can this be used in an above ground pool?  Yes, but if the pool is large it may take a while to clean.  Also, make sure the vacuum is under the water.  You will need to attach a pole to the vacuum so that it reaches the bottom of your above ground pool.
