But that is no reason why they can’t also be beautiful and test your creativity and imagination. In order to help you get started, we have prepared 10 ideas of garden edging that look great. Let’s see what they are!

Creative Garden Edging Ideas

  1. Use logs to create a more rustic garden edging. Why? Because it doesn’t cost a lot of money, it is easy to make, and it looks authentic. So just surround part of your garden with different pieces of logs. For some extra magic, you can paint on them too.
  2. Use copper pipes that you fill with gravel and small flowers. First of all, prop the pipes in an upwards position, it will almost create a small fence around your plants. Fill them with gravel in order to become heavier, and decorate them with flowers for a cure garden edging look.
  3. Knit some wicker around your plants. It is cheap and it gives you something to do with your hands. Furthermore, the sense of accomplishment after you are done with the garden edging will be entirely worth it.
  4. Use colorful jars placed upside down. You can go for the same color scheme, try multicolored ones, or even decide not to color them at all. But surrounding your plants with jars is easy to do and it doesn’t cost you a lot of money either.
  5. Use old plates that you stick into the soil. Leave only half of the plate sticking out, it will be enough to create a reliable garden edging. If you choose white plates, you can decorate them as you wish. If not, choose plates with designs that you already love. It’s up to you.
  6. Take some bales of hay and create a rustic garden edging. Stack them next to each other in whatever shape you want around the plants that you want to delimitate. In addition, you can try sticking colorful flowers through the straws in order to decorate the bales.
  7. Do you have seashells lying around the house? Put them to use by surrounding some of your plants with them. This is especially adequate for smaller types of flowers. Give your garden the beach look!
  8. Use old bicycle wheels that you stick half into the soil. The other half will make a really unique and creative garden edging.
  9. Stack some bricks on top of each other – it is a quick and easy task. Plus, the coppery look will improve the landscape in your garden.
  10. Why not go for the natural look and create garden edging out of strands of grass? It will take some time until they grow, but the result will be worth it.

As you can see, there are a lot of things you can use to make garden edging interesting and creative. All you need is a little bit of imagination and the determination to create the garden of your dreams.

Hi there, Great tips by the way and thank you.
I did have a question though. I’m hoping you can answer
it for me since you seem to be pretty knowledgeable about gardening.
Organic How do you get vegetable plants to produce more vegetables?

If you had some insight I would greatly appreciate it.
