Very Quiet

One comment that kept coming up many times was how quiet this gas powered hedge trimmer is.  You neighbors just might thank you if you decide to buy the Tanaka Gas Hedge Trimmer.  A quiet hedge trimmer is a nice because you can trim anytime of the day or night without worrying about bothering people.  It's also very nice for the user to be able to use a quiet machine.

Reports of Fuel Lines Breaking

I came across several reports of the fuel line breaking.  Customers were disappointed when gasoline started leaking out everywhere.  Sadly, when they tried to contact the company they were not successful.  This is not the only comment like this that I found, "This item has been leaking gas from (because of a faulty grommet) which spills fuel continually which is a serious hazard. I have emailed the company countless times over the last 2 months to get a replacement part and no one has contacted me. The manufacture is overseas and can't be contacted by phone. American repairs facilities will not work on it because they don't have parts I am stuck with a $228.oo paper weight which I can't use."

Easy Start Up

If you've owned a gas powered garden machine such as a lawn mower, hedge trimmer or chainsaw, you are probably aware that some can be tricky to start up.  Even machines that usually start right up can have their "bad days."  I'm happy to report that the Tanaka Gas Hedge Trimmer had good reports from customers for it's ability to start right up.

Here is just one of the many positive comments on how easy it started up and performed, "It has been absolutely flawless. Starts up perfect every time and is as good if not better than the units HD rents. I trimmed 8ft high oleander hedges, mock orange, cutting through most all pinkie sized branches with ease, and most importantly cutting down dozens of very large and overgrown ornamental and grasses. The rotating handle is a real plus."

Compact, Lightweight and Easy to Use

The Tanaka Gas Hedge Trimmer is one of the smaller gas hedge trimmers. Personally I like smaller gas powered machinery.  The larger you get, the harder it can be to hold for prolong periods of time, especially if you will be holding it at awkward angles.  This little guy can run nonstop for a long time without overheating.  A nice feature is that the exhaust faces forward so you can have no worries of burning your bushes.

Tanaka Gas Hedge Trimmer Conclusion

For the most part, the Tanaka Gas Hedge Trimmer had great reviews left by customers who have bought and used it.  It starts up easy, runs quiet and is powerful enough to easily cut through 3/4 inch shrubbery.  There were however reports of some of these hedge trimmers having fuel line breaks.  Unfortunately the customers who tried to contact the company did not have good results.  The majority of the comments were very positive but I'd be wary if I did have a problem, that customer service may not be there for you.
