Item Specifics

The Smart Garden Cart comes fully assembled.  It is easy to lift and dump, and can hold up to 250 pounds.  This product was made in the USA.  It has 6 built-in tool holders, and has a galvanized steel axle.  The Smart Garden Cart is lightweight and easy to hang.  It will stay where you leave it, and it won’t roll down hills.

Comes Assembled

Unlike some wheelbarrows, this wheelbarrow comes assembled.  A lot of wheelbarrows can be difficult to assemble, but thankfully this is not the case for the Smart Cart wheelbarrow.  Once it arrives, you can use it right away.  Here is what one customer had to say, “It arrived on my door step as it is.. no box.. already 100% assembled which was awesome. I just grabbed it and went. It will be a great cart and looks like it will easily last 10 + years.”

Made of Plastic

This wheelbarrow is made of plastic, including the wheels.  Although this may mean that it is not as durable, most customers were positive about it and were pleased to know that the wheelbarrow wouldn’t rust nor get a flat tire due to its plastic.  A customer explains, “Completely assembled, lightweight, and spacious! This was a bit larger than I expected, but it is an excellent size for carrying bales of peat moss, soil, compost, etc. it is very easy to maneuver for an old guy like me. I actually like that the wheels do not have rubber tires that you must constantly need to keep inflated. Also, all the parts are plastic so that you don’t need to worry about rust. All in all, a great cart!”

Lightweight

Weighing in at 13.5 pounds, this wheelbarrow is very lightweight.  Most wheelbarrows are 20 pounds, if not heavier, and can be hard to push.  Due to its lightness, you can easily lift, dump, and load it in the truck.  One customer shares her thoughts about the wheelbarrow, “Works well. It’s lightweight, I can fill it with yard debris and then pick it up to empty into a recycling container. I’m a 67 year old female of average build.”

Customers Did Some Tweaking to the Wheelbarrow

If you find that this wheelbarrow needs some adjustments, go right ahead.  Some of the customers decided that instead of returning the cart or buying another one, they would tweak it to fit their needs.  Here is how one customer made adjustments to the wheelbarrow, “A decent cart at a decent price. I agree with the negative comments here and on the Ace site; the handle is too short and the wheels are unwieldy over uneven ground. With some crude DIY modifications it’s a better cart. I changed out the wheels for pneumatic tires. That allowed the tires to be spaced further out on the axles with bushings made of 1/2″ pipe; I might replace the axle with a longer one to bring the wheels out even further for more stability. I made a handle extension from scrap wood, a 1-1/4″ dowel and sheet metal screws. Puts the handle higher up, provides more leverage and is easier on my back. I use the cart mostly for mulch and firewood and so far it feels very sturdy. One nice plus is unlike a conventional wheelbarrow, firewood tossed in from a few feet away generally stays in the cart.”

Great for Hauling Firewood

A lot of customers used this wheelbarrow for hauling firewood.  They said it was very durable, and could haul a lot of wood.  One customer said this, “I use this cart to haul wood from barn to wood stove. Works great! Durable, easy to handle, holds a good quantity of wood, feels light when pulling even when loaded. In spring I’ll use it in the garden.”

Not for Taller People

Some of the customers thought that this wheelbarrow is not good for anyone over 5’6.  They said you would have to bend over while you push/pull the wheelbarrow.  Here is what one customer thought, “It seems to be a very sturdy. Fairly unwieldy. Probably great for people who are shorter than average. I’m 5’10” and this is literally a pain in the back (and neck and shoulders) to push and pull around (whether empty or fully loaded). I like that it’s sturdy and has a large capacity.”

Great Price

Customers thought that the price was great for this wheelbarrow.  Here is one of the many comments, “I love this garden cart. It isn’t huge, but it carries a significant load. It’s durable, easy to handle, comes pre-assembled, and the price is amazing. I prefer this to a wheelbarrow any day.”

Easy to Push and Pull

Customers found this wheelbarrow to be very easy to push and pull.  A customer had this to say, “Unexpectedly high quality. Bought as second cart for yard and using this all the time. Very solid, easy to push or pull. Packed well and easy to get together and moving. Buying another for neighbors. Very good quality and a bargain price.”

Can Carry Heavy Items

Although some customers said that this wheelbarrow worked best for carrying small items, most of the customers thought that this is great for heavy duty work.  Here is what one customer had to say, “Used for the first time today – we had a big 80 lb crate/pallet with a sculpture in it, that was delivered that we had to move from the front yard, down a long path, to the back yard and we were trying to figure out how to move it when we saw the new cart we just got! so we used it for the first time, by loading a big wooden, super heavy, awkward sized wooden crate into it, while one person held the crate upright and I pulled the cart. it worked great! the cart is super smooth and had no issues at all carrying heavy stuff. it was a 10 out of 10. smooth ride, the cart seems very well built and sturdy, it’s very deep and carried a 4.5 foot tall crate, no problem, the wheels went up and down a path of giant cobblestones carrying the giant 80 lb crate with no issues at all.”
