The Rubbermaid Commercial Standard Low Wheel Cart has low, mid-size rubber tires.  It has a seamless pan design that resists leaking and cracking.  It is chemical resistant.  This product will not rust, dent, chip, or peel.  It measures 34-1/2″ x 57-1/2″ x 26-1/2″.  This item weighs 59.3 pounds.  It will hold up to 300 pounds.

Wheels Don’t Last

The quality of the wheels unfortunately is lacking on the Rubbermaid Commercial Standard Low Wheel Cart.   If you are looking for a cart to put some miles in, plan on replacing the wheels eventually.  Here is what a rancher had to report about the wheels, “This is the 3rd one of these we have owned over at least 10 years. The barrel itself is exceptional for our ranch. The negative is the wheels. The wheel spokes are a flimsy plastic that snaps very easily. You would think Rubbermaid would have fixed this problem since these have been out for multiple years. With our last two we ended up buying wheels to replace the broken ones at about $50.00 each time. We’ll see how long these last.”

Back Saver

This wheel barrow had good reports coming in for how well it helped to take the strain off of  people’s backs.  The balance of the cart was one of the most common customer comments.  Here is one of those comments, “I was hesitant to spend the money on a fancy wheelbarrow. After using it for a few months I am so glad I did, this is a great force multiplier tool. It is so strong and extremely stable that I am able to move way more material before my back hurts.  I highly recommend spending the money and getting this wheelbarrow.”

Good for People of Multiple Heights

The Rubbermaid Commercial Standard Low Wheel Cart scored well with both short and tall people.  Here a wife comments, “I bought this for my husband during a deal of the day. He loves it. Since I bought it for him, he has left my garden cart alone, and has not used his heavy metal industrial wheelbarrow. It holds a lot and is easy to push. He is tall (6′ 4″) and the handle height works great. I am 5′ 3″ and have no problem using it. The construction is quality. He uses it for logs, yard waste, concrete blocks, tree top and shrub trimmings, and more! We even haul water to our water our plants far from a water source.”

Easy to Maneuver

This cart will not require a lot of strength to get it moving.  Not only is this a real plus for people without a lot of strength, but it’s good for anyone wanting to conserve energy for other tasks.  There’s no use wasting pushing strength when you don’t have to.  Here is a comment about the maneuverability, “I absolutely love this wheelbarrow! It’s super easy to maneuver and push around. It’s great for yard work, and I even used it for spreading around hundreds of pounds of gravel for the foundation of a shed that my husband is building. (This coming from a 5’4” woman should tell you something.) It’s sturdy & durable. I can’t say enough good things about it.

Easy to Dump

A nice thing about this wheelbarrow is that it is very easy to dump.  If you will be moving anything requiring you to dump it out, the Rubbermaid Commercial Standard Low Wheel Cart should help you get the job done easily.  A customer reports, “This thing is great. I use it to muck out my chicken coup pine shavings, and it holds about twice what a normal wheelbarrow holds. Also super easy to dump, as when it leans forward, the front section is almost level with the ground, maybe slight tilted forward. So I can just push the stuff out where I need it without having to shovel it back out, or have an awkward dumping experience.”

Holds a Lot of Weight

“This was bought to use instead of a wheelbarrow. It is extremely sturdy, and holds a lot. My husband has carted 150 pounds of metal to recycling, loaded it with tree trimmings, and wheeled me down the street to the in-laws. Lets just say it carried me with no problem. He was very impressed with the wheels.  We have only had it two months so can not comment on longevity of the construction. We were going to purchase at Home Depot, but Amazon beat their price.”

Well Balanced

It can be frustrating when you have a load of something and it tips before you get to your destination.  You should have no worries of that happening with the Rubbermaid Commercial Standard Low Wheel Cart.  A customer had this to share about how well it is balanced, “Not only does it hold so much more than your standard wheel barrel, but, more importantly, it is so much easier to handle…even with the extra weight. There is no crazy balancing act to try to keep it from falling over to the side like your standard wheel barrel. It is very well made ( better be for the price!), and very easy to assemble. It’s just a matter of attaching the wheels to the base. I am a female writing this review…my husband loves it as well. I used to hate to do any yard work that involved using our old “typical” wheel barrel. Now I don’t mind the yard work. Watch out ladies…your husband might buy you one of these!”

Won’t Rust

The nice thing about plastic carts like this one, is that you won’t have to worry about it rusting.  The fact that it doesn’t rust is a common praise with customers.  Here is one of those comments, “Yes, its expensive for a cart, but this is the ultimate cart as far as I’m concerned. I previously owned the “gorilla” cart (Tractor Supply sells it, also on Amazon) and I liked it at first, but its really not great – it easily tips over when loaded, and its thin metal parts rusted out and broke over time. I knew I had to replace it, and in the back of my mind I knew I wanted something plastic that would not rust. This rubbermaid cart is made from a composite type high density polyethelyne, it seems indestructible (its thick).”

Expensive

This cart is expensive. Plain and simple. With that being said, most of the comments about price, also added that the purchase was well worth it.  Here is one of those comments, “This is expensive but so worth the price. Not only does it hold so much more than your standard wheel barrel, but, more importantly, it is so much easier to handle…even with the extra weight.”

Rubbermaid Commercial Standard Low Wheel Cart Conclusion

The Rubbermaid Commercial Standard Low Wheel Cart is an expensive cart, but most of the customers who bought it felt that it was well worth the price.  It is well balanced, so you won’t have to worry about it tipping over on you.  This cart is easy to maneuver, and also easy to dump. Because it is made of plastic, you don’t have to worry about anything rusting on it.  One of the cons, besides the hefty price tag is that the wheels most likely will wear out long before the cart does.  The quality of the wheels was the most common complaint that I came across.  However, some of those same people who had to replace the wheels, still thought the cart was worth it.   Just be aware that the wheels are of poor quality when compared to the quality of the rest of the cart.  With all being tallied up and said, this really is a very nice cart.
