I planted the bulbs in a container with high quality potting soil. They were watered regularly, and placed in a sunny spot. I know they normally grow in the spring in temperate climates, but I live in Hawaii, so they should grow any time of year. I grew fresias in a container in Mediterranean Valencia, Spain, which has a similar climate, and they grew well. They should grow well in Hawaii as well, but not a single sprout, much less a flower.
I won't know till spring if these bulbs are good. Either they bloom or they don't. Compared to bulbs I've purchased in nurseries, these were small and dry. We shall see if I have flowers in the spring!
