Item Specifics

The Emergency Water Filter, RISEPRO Portable Aqua Personal Filter can remove 99.9999% of all bacteria and 99.9% of waterborne protozoan parasites.  That is higher than the US EPA standard for water filters.  This portable water filter is built with 0.06 microns ultra-filtration membrane.  It will filter up to 422 gallons of safe drinking water.  This is a good water filter to take camping and hiking, as well as an emergency water filter when there's hurricanes, earthquakes, or natural disasters.  The Emergency Water Filter, RISEPRO Portable Aqua Personal Filter can easily filter 0.50 microns particles.  The water flow speed is up to 200 milliliters per minute.  If you are not pleased with your purchase, there is a lifetime warranty.

Makes Water Taste Better

Many customers commented that this portable water filter made water taste good.  Whether you're drinking out of ponds or tap water, this portable water filter should help improve the taste.  Customers said that water that once didn't taste good now tasted like bottled water after using this filter.  Here is what one customer commented, "This really works!! I tested it on my tap water which tastes terrible with the high chlorine content and I didn't taste any! It tasted like bottled water. "

Difficult to Suck

A few customers commented that this was slightly difficult to suck.  This wasn't a common complaint, but it is something to keep in mind.  It is common for straw filters to be hard to suck water out of.  Here is what one customer had to say, "I have to say it very difficult to start and takes a while. But if you use the hose method I know it would be awesome!! And if you only use it for traveling or emergencies or camping it's worth it."

Portable

The Emergency Water Filter, RISEPRO Portable Aqua Personal Filter weighs only 2.8 ounces.  It is great for traveling with, since it is so lightweight.  It would work well for camping, hiking, or even traveling in the car since it doesn't take up much space.  Many customers traveled with this portable water filter and said it worked great.  Here is what one traveler commented about this product, "I purchased this to pack in my travel bag. I plan a trip to Honduras soon and based on my tests here this should really perform well there. I feel confident this will be helpful during my trip."

Only Filters 422 Gallons of Water

Some portable water filters can filter more water than this product.  For example, the LifeStraw Personal Water Filter Review will filter up to 1,000 gallons of water.  This portable water filter should probably only be used once in a while for emergencies.  It should not be used on a daily basis because it will stop working very quickly.

Great for Emergencies

Multiple customers commented that this portable water filter was great to have for emergencies.  Whether it's a hurricane, earthquake, or other natural disaster, this portable water filter is good to have around.  Because it only filters 422 gallons, this is not a water filter you use on a daily basis.  Instead, it is great for times when clean water is scarce.  Here is what one customer who bought this as a gift had to say, "My 80 year old mom can use this device because she can attach it to a water bottle. If a Quake should hit she will have water at the least until help can arrive."

May Not Filter Amoeba

According to one customer, this water filter may not filter out amoeba.  Although this may not be true, it is something to keep in mind.  Do keep in mind though that no other customers commented about this.  Here is what the customer said about this not filtering amoeba, "I learned by experience it doesn't filter ameoba. My immune is weak and I ran out of bottle water. Mainly I got it to raise my PH."

You Can Screw It onto a Water Bottle

Customers liked that you could screw this water filter onto a water bottle.  This allowed you to drink from a bottle instead of the water source itself.  This is a feature that some portable water filters lack.  For some water filters, you are required to kneel down to the water source.  Here is what one customer commented about this nice feature, "Light and small, I also love the fact that we can screw it on a bottle, it makes it really handy to filter water. I definitely recommend this product!"

Great Price

Not all portable water filters are this cheap.  Many portable water filters cost $100, if not more.  Even other straw filters like this one sometimes cost $20.  Many customers were amazed that the price was so low.  The price is even slightly lower than the well known LifeStraw.  Here is what one customer said about this product, "This is awesome. Now I'm ready for any disaster. Was extremely affordable."

Fits in a Pocket

The Emergency Water Filter can fit in a pocket according to the description.  This makes it easy to carry around.  As I mentioned earlier, it weighs only 2.8 ounces and is great for traveling.  You won't need to worry about the RISEPRO emergency water filter taking up too much room.

Comes with Instructions

You don't need to worry about not knowing how to use this portable water filter.  The description mentions that it comes with one instruction manual.  It should tell you how to use this portable water filter, and it may include additional information.

99.9999% of Bacteria Is Filtered

The RISEPRO emergency water filter removes 7 log (99.9999%) of all waterborne bacteria (like salmonella) and 3 log (99.9%) of protozoan parasites.  You won't have to worry about drinking bacteria when using this water filter.  The description says that you can drink from lakes, ponds, puddles, and rivers with this, and many customers agreed.  Overall, this is a great product to try.
