This outdoor string lights can also be used indoors.  The company offers a full three year warranty on the strand and a full three month warranty on the bulbs.  If for any reason you are not pleased with your purchase, contact the company.

Heavy Duty Cable

String lights will only be as durable as the cable that connects them.   Thankfully, The Brightech Ambience Pro Waterproof Outdoor String Lights have a strong cable that should withstand the weather and some wear and tear.  A customer had this to say, “These lights are so pretty.  I love the high end industrial look.  The cable is heavy duty and I expect will survive the elements for a very long time.  The lights do not appear to be cheaply made and have a pretty thick and heavy cable.  Take this into consideration when stringing your lights as you’ll need to ensure they are properly anchored to support the weight.  We used black zip ties on either side of each light bulb ‘bracket’ to keep the lights from sagging, rather than connecting them at the loop above each light.  This is going to keep them in place on the stainless steel braided wire that we bought from our local home improvement store.  It took more time to do this, but I guarantee it will be worth it in the long run.  I am going to live in my backyard this spring and summer because it is so lovely with these lights.  They emit the perfect lighting for al fresco dining and summer BBQ’s.”

Must Be Supported Well

As the previous section states, these lights are run on a heavy duty cable.  With that being said, you will need a good support system to hang these lights because they are heavy.  Here a customer testified to this fact, “These lights are exactly as advertised and are really pretty. I bought two strands to zigzag over a 12×10 area and they’re just about right – I was a little concerned that the 3 foot spacing in between bulbs would look skimpy, but they provide great ambient light and look just right as a canopy about 9′ overhead.  Be warned that they’re not joking around about these being heavy duty – they’re much, much heavier than cheap party light strings, too heavy to hang under their own weight for any span longer than four or five feet. You MUST suspend them from tensioned and anchored wires and spread the load across truss wires if you’re doing a canopy – no zigzagging overhead over a wide unsupported span.”

Less Expensive and Use Less Energy Than Vintage Bulbs

Perhaps one of the things that make string lights so special is the vintage feel.  But with vintage items often come higher prices and outdated electronics that cost more to run.  The nice thing about the Brightech Ambience Pro Waterproof Outdoor String Lights is that you get a vintage feel without a big price tag and without them skyrocketing your electric bill.  A customer commented this, “Great Lights! We debated between these and the Vintage version with the larger bulbs. I’m sure the Vintage look really cool, but I think we made the right choice. These are considerably less expensive, the bulbs are still good size and look nice lit up, and they use significantly less energy (165 vs. 600 watts for the Vintage strand). And because of the lower wattage, dimmer options are much less expensive too; there seems to be a real price jump once you need to get over a 500 watt capacity on your dimmer. I would definitely recommend putting them on a dimmer too. They are nice and bright on full power, but it’s great to be able to draw them down to even just a firefly glowing filament.”

Good Price

For what you are getting, the price point is right on.  Here is one of many positive comments on the price, “Lights are excellent. Soft glow and we have used 6 boxes of the lights now to illuminate the yard from our house to our boat dock. Great product and timely delivery. Will use more if I can find a place for them.  This is the newest addendum. Purchased 4 more boxes to continue my soft lighting at our place. Great product at a great price and my electrician likes them as well.”

Bright with a Warm Ambiance

If you are wanting an area lit up without it looking too bright, the Brightech Ambience Pro Waterproof Outdoor String Lights should do the trick.  A customer had this to say about them, “I was skeptical about these at first. I questioned the brightness of them and so forth. So let me tell you a story.  So I had a 10×20 booth at a food festival. And lighting the booth was a requirement especially when serving food. So we went to the event first thing in the morning to setup. Event went from noon to 10pm.  Just in case it wasn’t Bright enough. I did go to Wal-Mart and buy a bunch of high wattage bulbs. Night fall came around and our booth was so brightly lit that I ended up returning the other bulbs the next day.  Everything was well lit with a nice warm ambience. We had chairs in our booth and everyone came by just to sit down and chill in our booth. They said it was relaxing. Lights were on all day from noon to 10pm nonstop just to see how durableit was. Bulbs seem to seal the sockets when you screw them in so rain most likely won’t be an issue it seems if used let’s say a backyard setting.  I might just pick up another one of these and put it in my backyard.”

Does Not Come with a Dimmer

Unfortunately, these lights do not come with a dimmer.  However, some customers chose to install their own dimmer.  I’ll quote someone who added a dimmer, “Sturdy lights and power cord. Easily attached these to some lower hanging branches in our back yard with some zip ties with enough slack to allow for movement on windy days. I added an in-line dimmer with a remote so I can operate the lights from inside the house. I got the dimmer because several reviews mentioned that the lights were too bright. I don’t find that to be true in my backyard but I suppose it depends on your application location. The dimmer does add flexibility though. Very, very happy with these lights and will buy them again if I can find more places to put them.”
