You’ve probably heard about all the amazing things that vinegar can do it your home. Well, here the best things that vinegar can do. Use vinegar and water to clean windows and get rid of streaks and smudges. Vinegar also works really well at cleaning blinds and getting rid of the dust on them. Do you have dried on food in your microwave and don’t want to spend the time scraping it away? Boil vinegar and water in your microwave in a cup then everything should wipe off easily. Use vinegar to get rid of spots on dishes and hard water film in your shower. That’s just the beginning of uses that vinegar can do if you want to start using natural cleaning methods.

Lemons are another natural cleaning powerhouse that you just might have on hand! Use lemons to clean copper. The lemon will make the copper shine and it’ll be back to its former glory! It’s easy enough to create your own furniture polish with lemons as well. Mix lemon juice and olive oil to create a natural furniture polish that will get rid of dust and make your furniture shine. Put the oil along window sills and doorways and bugs will not cross the barrier. They don’t like the smell of the oil. Peppermint oil is also very effective at deterring mice. Place cotton balls with peppermint oil around the house to keep them away. Or mix the oil and some water in a spray bottle and spray it where you’d like. Use peppermint oil to make homemade cleaners smell good and give your house a fresh smell. 

Baking Soda

Baking soda is a very common household item that most people will have on hand. This makes it a great household item for natural cleaning. Sprinkle some baking soda on your carpet to remove stubborn pet odors or any other odors. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes. Then vacuum the baking soda up and you’ll have fresh smelling carpets again. Do the same for carpet stains except pour a cup of water mixed with a tablespoon of vinegar on the spot after you’ve vacuumed. Rub the spot with a rag and the stain should come up. Baking soda is also great at removing odors from front-loading washing machines. Pour a half a cup of baking soda into the detergent cup. Then run a regular wash cycle with hot water. This should sanitize and deodorize your washing machine.
