Item Specifics

The True Temper Snow Brush has a 36-inch brush. The snow brush is made from the same EVA foam material used in professional car washes. Unlike most traditional style snow brushes, the Scratch Free Snow Brush won’t clog, freeze, or scratch your vehicle. The brush head is made of freeze-resistant material that can withstand the harshest winters. The True Temper Snow Brush has an innovative head design that removes snow in smaller and hard to reach areas. This snow brush features an ergonomic aluminum handle. On the opposite side of the brush, there is an ice scraper for scraping away the ice on your vehicle.

Won’t Scratch Your Vehicle

The True Temper Snow Brush has no hard bristles or parts that will scrape your vehicle. While this should seem like a given trait, not all brushes are this easy on a vehicle. Some snow brushes do in fact scrape up vehicles if people aren’t careful. A customer shared, “I realized that I can’t remove all the snow from the car and drive off safely without scratching it with the bristles from the regular snow brush. I was on the mission to find a product that will work and gave this a try. I am just like the guy from their promo video, I care about my cars, and I keep the paint in perfect shape. This product works great, it will save me hours of buffing the pain to remove scratches. It removes snow all the way without scratching the car. What a great design, thank you. I highly recommend this product.”

Small Enough to Fit Under Roof Racks

One nice feature of The True Temper Snow Brush is that it can fit under tight spots like under roof racks. A customer said, “I found this brush great for cleaning off the snow from the roof of my SUV. I’m able to get it under the roof rack bars to pull off snow, something that can’t be done with a conventional snow brush. It can also remove light amounts of snow from the body without worrying about scratching.”

Because it is small enough to fit under a roof rack, it should also be able to fit under a seat of your vehicle. It may be too long though to fit in a glove compartment or side of a door. If you are wanting a super compact snow brush you can find smaller ones, or ones with telescoping ends that compact better than this one.

Not Good for Heavy Snow

For heavy snow you may want to use a different snow brush. This one isn’t designed to handle heavy snow. A customer share, “So, after my first heavy snow since I buying this I must say it is really nice for the car, I really love the soft foam that won’t scratch or damage the paint, and the scraper (only for the windows) is a quality solid scraper and demolishes ice. The reason I didn’t give it five stars is because, while it does work, it doesn’t work well on heavy snow. It’s best for light powdery snow and takes a bit of extra work to move the really heavy snow off of the car. That would not deter me from buying another in the future, but I’ll probably buy one of these long pole broom-like foam brushes for moving large amounts of heavy snow, that I keep in the house, and keep this one in my car.”

Finish on Scraper a Little Rough

There was a complaint about the finish on The True Temper Snow Brush being too rough. Keep in mind that most people most likely will be wearing gloves or mittens while cleaning snow off of their vehicles. So this issue may not be important at all. Whether this is a make or break deal for you, it was still worth mentioning. A customer shared, “Bought one for each car. I’ve used foam snow brushes before so I expect this will work fine. Overall, I was pleased. However, there is a quality issue with the ice scraper. The finish was very, very rough. Rather than return it, I took a fingernail (ridge smoother) file to smooth it out. At this cost, I don’t think I should have to do this. With a better finish on the scraper, I’d rate it 5 stars.”

Durability Questionable

The True Temper Snow Brush may not last as long as some would have hoped. A customer shared, “This worked great for the first year of ownership, but the ice scraper definitely doesn’t work the way it used to. It misses a ton of ice and the blade is not flat. The foam brush portion works well at clearing snow. Frankly, most scrapers are garbage. For the industry, this is about middle of the pack. I do wish that it was longer, though. With the scraper not doing a good job, it takes a lot of pressure to scrape and reaching the middle of the window is difficult and taxing. The real issue is that no company makes a high-quality product that both brushes snow and scrapes with a telescoping. Overall, this is a middle of the pack product.”

Comfortable Handle

The handle is designed for comfort. It is made of aluminum so there is no soft grip kind of handle on it. I could not find any comments that people thought that it was not comfortable. Assuming you will be wearing gloves or mittens since it most likely will be cold out since you are using a snow brush, the grip should be comfortable. No one that I could find commented that it was too slippery or that it fell out of their hands.

High Price

The Price of The True Temper Snow Brush is high for what you are getting. There are no bells or whistles on this snow brush to account for the higher price. With that being said, the customers who commented on the price were satisfied with it. But after evaluating other Snow Brushes and scrapers it is my opinion that this one is a bit high priced for what you are getting. Here is one of the comments left by a customer on the price, “Good product. Reasonable price.”
