You probably haven’t noticed how dirty your walls have become. Take a wet rag and wipe down your walls to see what color your paint used to be. Your house will look a whole lot brighter once your walls are back to their former glory. No more dingy, brown walls with sticky handprints.

Kitchen cabinets can get really greasy and sticky. This is because usually, people have food in the kitchen which makes their hands a little grimy. There are bound to be grease streaks and sticky spots on the handles of your drawers and cabinets. You’ll definitely notice a difference if your cabinets are white.

Replacing your furnace filter every three months is a good idea. It can get clogged with dust and debris. This will help your furnace work as efficiently as possible so that you’ll have a warm house in the Winter. It’ll also lower your heating bill because your furnace won’t have to work as hard to heat your house if it has a clean filter.

Sweep Your Chimney

Chimneys can get really clogged with soot over the Winter, especially if you use them a lot. Clean out your chimney before the weather gets really cold and you use the fireplace to help keep you warm. A clean chimney will help the smoke to travel up it without any problems or your house getting smokey.

Shine Up Your Wood Floors

Do you have any scuffs on your nice wood floors? Buff them out and consider refinishing your wood floors. This will give your floors a glossy finish and will protect them from any further damage. It might be a good idea if your children are tracking in wet snow in the Winter time. A good waterproof finish will defend against any damage from water.

How Can Vinegar Be Used to Clean and Prepare My House for Winter?

There are numerous ways to clean with vinegar to prepare your house for winter. Its acidic nature makes it effective in removing dirt, grime, and stains. Mix vinegar with water to create a solution for washing windows, sanitizing surfaces, or mopping floors. Additionally, vinegar helps eliminate odors, kill bacteria, and deter pests, making it a versatile and budget-friendly cleaning agent for winter preparations.

There are bound to be some clothes that you can part with to free up some room in your closet.Cleaning out your closet does wonders for your stress levels.

It’s important that your smoke detectors work year round. However, it’s especially important if you’re going to have a lot of fires in your fireplace. 1. Great list!

Fall is great time to clean, because fall heading into winter is the biggest adjustment in a household, in my opinion. This other blog I found (httpss://www.greatplainschemdry.com/5-reasons-for-fall-carpet-cleaning/) talked a little bit about how fall temperatures play into mold and mildew prevention.

Thanks for giving me an actual checklist to go off of! Appreciate it, Denali!
