The Sunforce 82080 80-LED Solar Motion Light features a solar panel with 15 feet of wire, 80 LED solar motion light, 3 AA rechargeable batteries, and mounting hardware.  The lumen output is 900.  It can be mounted almost anywhere, and is weatherproof.   The amorphous solar panel does not need direct sunlight.  It will charge in all daylight conditions.  The detection distance is 30 feet.  The detection range is 180 degrees.  It has 80 LED lights.  This solar motion detector features two adjustable settings.  The settings are as follows: Time (Determines the duration of the light.  When motion is detected, it will do 30 seconds, 60 seconds, or 120 seconds), and Distance (controls the distance of the range of motion.  It will do low, medium, or high).  Keep in mind that this is one solar light.

Great Replacement for Electric Lighting

People liked how this light did not require any electric and still had a great output. Here is one of those comments, “One of us is an electrician so we can wire lighting, but why? Our parking area is 75 feet long and 38 feet wide up in a forest. The wire would cost more than these lights.”

Some customers said that it was easy to installation while others mentioned a few glitches.  Here is one of the negative comments, “I docked one star because of an unnecessary annoyance in installation. To install the solar panel, there are 4 screws to screw in the mount, and there are two screws on the back of the panel to fix the swivel in place to set the angle. The problem is, depending on the angle you wish to mount the solar panel, if you first screw in the mount, with the swivel loose, you may find it impossible to access the screws to fix the swivel. If you first fix the swivel screws, with the panel unmounted, you may then find it impossible to access the screws to attach the mount! This little predicament could easily be avoided if they had used a wingnut or some other mechanism for tightening the swivel which doesn’t rely on a screwdriver. Other than that, seems a decent product for the money.”

The weather here is severe with high constant winds, driving rain, snow, sleet, and we are right ON the ocean. Things get trashed here quickly or blow away. Our last (electric) motion lights did not last long and shorted out from water getting into wiring. I was worried the separate solar panel part would not last – but it has and is going strong. Ordering a 4th one for over the shed.”
