Item Specifics

The Ivation Heavy Duty Rolling Snow Pusher is a tall concave shovel that is made to effectively clears away snow up to 5” deep in a single pass.  It has a padded metal handle that adjusts for total pusher height in a range of 45 to 50 inches.  The grippy 6 inch pivot wheels provide improved traction even in slippery conditions.  A strategic pushing angle lets you stand upright without the need to bend nor strain.  This snow pusher is lightweight yet has a heavy-duty design.  It does require assembly.  Full instructions are included.

A Back Saver

If you have back problems, or maybe just want to avoid back problems that lifting and throwing snow can bring, you may want to try the Ivation Heavy Duty Rolling Snow Pusher.  It doesn’t require any lifting, just pushing.  A customer with back problems explained, “I LOVE THIS! I have had back surgery and have rheumatoid arthritis and cannot lift a shovelful of snow. And I like being outside and clearing snow from our driveway when I can… and now I can with this nifty snow pusher.  I had no trouble at all clearing 3″ of snow off our triple wide driveway and it only took 30 minutes.  No backache, no tired arms…just a clean driveway.”

Will Need to Assemble

Depending on who you ask and how your assembly skills are, this snow pusher ranges from simple to difficult to assemble according to customers.  It would be great if everything arrived already assembled in the mail, but then we’d all be  paying a lot more for shipping big boxes to our homes.  So it is what it is and you will need to assemble it.

A customer provided some helpful hints as far as assembly goes.  He said, ” Assembly is always a pain and you’d do well to have a socket set, a pair of pliers, and a Philips screwdriver on hand to make the work easy.  The directions (user guide) was somewhat annoying in that the print and illustrations were so small. Fortunately assembly is rather intuitive. One thing to note is that the blade assembly arms are marked L and R on the plastic. Look closely because if you install them improperly, they’ll have to come off. Add a magnifying glass to the list of tools if you are an assembly newbie. When you do the wheel assembly, you’ll need one to look at the illustration.”

Good for 5 Inches or Less of Snow

For those people living in snow belt areas that wake up to 2 feet of snow on the ground, this pusher is not going to do the job.  But if you get 5 inches or less, or maybe you just like keeping up with the snow as it’s coming down, the Ivation Heavy Duty Rolling Snow Pusher should work great.  The scoop part is not made to handle much more than 5 inches, though some people commented that it handled 6 inches fine.

Out of the 10 snow shovel and pusher reviews that I’ve done, this one seemed to have the most comments about people absolutely loving it.  Here is a person’s comment that had 5 inches or less to remove, “The only time in my life I’ve ever had to shovel significant snow and not had a sore back afterward. It also made much quicker work of the job on the whole. For any snow that’s 5-6″ or less, it’s a dream.”

Ivation Heavy Duty Rolling Snow Pusher Conclusion

People really seemed to love the Ivation Heavy Duty Rolling Snow Pusher.  It is specifically made to remove only 5 inches or less of snow at a time.  This pusher only requires that you push snow and not lift and throw.  Hence, it is a back saver for many.  You will need to assemble it, and it sounds like the assembly is not quick.  But once it is assembled you will have a durable and sturdy piece of snow equipment that should last for many year.  For jobs that require just 5 inches or less of snow removal, I highly recommend the Ivation Heavy Duty Rolling Snow Pusher.

Common Questions

Here are some top questions that I found for people considering buying an Ivation Heavy Duty Rolling Snow Pusher.

  • chevron-circle-right Does this product work only on paved surfaces or will it also work on dirt or gravel roads? Also, how does it do on roads that have some hills?  It doesn’t work any differently than any other shovel you might use other than it changes the position you are in when doing the work.  If you are shoveling over gravel you would tip it back just a tad so you didn’t push the gravel with the snow.  That’s easy to do since you have two hands on the handles.
  • chevron-circle-right Is the blade metal or plastic?  It is made from hard plastic and it has a metal scraper on the bottom.
  • chevron-circle-right Could a person with use of only one hand operate this? Now I use one hand & a leg to move snow, very difficult & exhausting! The unit is light enough for single hand operation, but the ease of use will vary with the depth of the snow that you are trying to clear.
